CORRECTIONCLARIFICATION: The Travel Checking accounts under Fitze + Jeffrey were separate, non-interest bearing accounts, specifically set up for tax protection purposes. In my case it was a DBA (doing business as) KGC Travel account at the Barnett and then NationsBank. I have no personal accounts at either bank as erroneously stated by Mr. Havey at last Saturday´s meeting. G. W. Jeffrey
THANKS: Thanks to Art and Rae Burmaster who have been in charge of Security. Also, we thank Bob Froehlich who will be Head of Security for the summer.
JETTY PICNIC: Other activities may have come to an end for the summer, but the Jetty Picnic will continue through May. So, get together your dinner service, beverage and a dish to share, and come to the North Jetty Pavilion on Thursday, May 4, for another delicious dinner and a chance to see your friends and neighbors. We´ll meet at 5 PM, have time to socialize and eat at 6 PM. Then it´s a walk on the beach, or watching the swimmers until the sun is set. You´ll go home reminded we are in a little bit of Paradise. Jan and Lolly
NEW OWNERS: Welcome to the following new owners:
We hope that you all enjoy many happy years at KGC!
ORCHIDS: to Patty Ray for her work as Treasurer of the Round Table, heading the inside Flea Market at the Fair, and handling the funds from the Fair - and balancing the books. You do a fantastic job, Patty, and we do appreciate all of your efforts! And, she is also doing the programming for our Channel 55!
KLEE AND RUTH FITZE: On Saturday, April 15, at 5 AM the Fitzes left KGC with the snowbirds. This year it was different for them as they have sold their home here. They are long-time residents. Klee developed the Travel Program and thousands of dollars was given to Kings Gate Round Table by his generosity, including our projector and screen. He spent countless hours on the travel program and many of us traveled with the Fitzes. They have been active in bingo, golf and bridge, as well as many other activities. We all wish them well and hope they will be back to visit us. Their northern address is: 645 Willow Valley Square, Apt. J507, Lancaster, PA 17602-4871. You will be missed!
THOUGHTS: As I look back over the past season (as we get ready to leave for the summer), I realize we have lost many residents, either by death or moves north. ALL will be greatly missed. We are just thankful our new residents are getting involved in activities, and we are busy making them feel welcome. To all of you, I wish a happy, healthy summer. Perhaps some of you will stop in St. Paul and we´ll get a chance to see you. Otherwise, look forward to returning to KGC in the Fall for another great year. So - goodbye for now. SJB
