HEALTHLINE: Gordon Brown (224 Castle) was taken to the hospital via ambulance on Saturday, August 12 due to chest pains. He was kept overnight at Bon Secours and released Sunday afternoon. Marion Gladkowski brought him home. We hope he has a speedy recovery so he can join us soon at Euchre on Friday evening. Bob and Win Van De Steene (195 Castle Dr.) sent a “Thank You Card” with the note appended “At a time like this it is such a comfort to receive all your cards and messages of concern on the death of my brother.” Thanks again, Bob and Win Van De Steene.

SAMPLE BALLOTS READY FOR VOTERS: Sarasota County voters can get copies of sample ballots for the September primary elections at county libraries, city halls and supervisor of election offices. The ballots also can be found on
Voters can call 951-5300 for copies of braille and large print sample ballots.

SOUTH COUNTY FOOD PANTRY: A Gold Star to the many volunteers at KGC that collect, mark and box, all the donated items. There are over 20 volunteers, that are available, some on summer call and others year round. Last collection brought in 109 items and $107 in cash. When bringing in supplies, please, no opened or partially used foods can be accepted. Also no perishable items. A special Gold Star to Don and Mary Holden for delivering every thing to the Food Pantry. More info on amount of cash and food items brought in can be found on the bulletin board.
