HEALTHLINE: Betty Mohr, 88 King Arthur Drive, had surgery last Monday. She is doing well and may be home today. Cards and prayers would be appreciated but no visits until later.
TRAVEL NEWS: King's Gate Solos' and KGC Travel together are sponsoring a Theater and Dinner event. The "Theater" will be to a performance of "A Christmas Carol" by the national touring company "Broadway on Tour" at Manatee Civic Center in Palmetto. The "Dinner" will be at Crab Trap II in Ellenton. The show will cost $12.00 (payable to KGC Travel) and the performance will be 12:15pm on November 20, 2000. The dinner will be after the theater at approximately 3:00 pm (on your own payment to restaurant). There will be NO bus, so plan on a carpool. Sign-up on the Travel board. Ticket payment and reservation deadline is October 31, 2000. Come join in the FUN - Dick Bartlett - Nip Barker
ATTENTION CRAFTERS: On Oct. 5, 2000 there will be a meeting in the Craft/Ceramic Room at 12:30 p.m. to start work on crafts for the Christmas Boutique. Marilyn Caithness will be the leader for the month of October, and she has a load of new ideas for us to work on. So, all of you new members who are willing to help with crafts come along. Marilyn will help with instruction, and even those with two left hands will be able to create something. Everyone who has ever been at Crafts before are also urged to come. Itīs a great place to meet old friends and make new ones, plus help the Club. Put it on your calendar Oct. 5 at 12:30 p.m.

MOVIES: The first movie of the season will be Wed. Oct. 4th, at the Club House. The movie will be Where The Heart Is. For the newcomers, there is never a charge for these movies. So join in the fun. Shirley Froehlich
THANK YOU: I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the cards, prayers and other expressions of concern during my recent hospitalization. They were greatly appreciated.
