SOLO CLUB MEET AND EAT:   Nov. 20th at 5:30 pm Bootleggers Brewing Co. and Steakery, 285 W. FROM "THE CLASS OF 2000":   We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Welcome Committee, Ann Kellum, Ruth Hazeldine, Fran Albright, the Solos, and the residents of Kings Gate for the lovely reception held in our behalf on Saturday, November 4.   Bob and Leta Adams, Jerry and Claire Becker, John Bredfeldt, Roland and Gloria Carey, Michele and Victoria Catalano, Ralph and Sandy Garver, Mike and Betty McDonald, Jack and Sandy Veneman, and Dave and Helen Westbrook.

RETIREMENT PARTY:   Nov. 18, 2000 from 3-5 PM there will be a retirement party for Joyce Parry.    Everyone is invited to come to honor Joyce, and wish her well.   She helped so many of us during her time here, it is our chance to say thank you.    The Round Table will serve cake and beverage, residents are asked to bring finger foods.   A basket will be passed today, or if you don't have your wallet with you, you can take cash gifts to Gigi Conway, 120 Camelot.    This cash gift will all be presented to Joyce at her party.

SHOWTIME:   Remember Les Paul and Mary Ford?    "Somewhere There's Music….How Faint the Tune…..Somewhere There's Heaven…..How High The Moon?.." ??   Well, on Wednesday, November 15th at 7 pm in our clubhouse, come and listen while world-class guitarist Jack Peterson brings you a sampling of Les and Mary, plus a little Western swing and a potpourri of tunes from our courting days.    Tickets are still only $3.00 and are on sale today.

CRAFTS GROUP presents a Christmas Boutique next Saturday, the 18th, in the Ceramics Room after the Round Table meeting.   There will be Christmas ornaments, tree trimmers, Christmas gifts and much more, made by the women in the Crafts group.   Bring your wallets, come over to browse and buy!

BOWLING:    George Ray bowled a high game of 522 last Tuesday and Ann Fisher bowled 54 pins over her average game.

MIX AND MINGLE PARTY:    The Welcome Coffee was a huge success last Saturday evening!   Many thanks to Ann Kellum, Ruth Hazeldine, Fran Abright, the Welcome Committee and the Solos.    You hosted a lovely affair with a special way to extend our hospitality to new friends and the entire Club.   ---R.T. Exec. Comm.    (And a special thanks to Gigi Conway who had the idea for this great way to meet and greet our new residents!)

CHAIR EXERCISES:   These exercises are gently designed to help you maintain body flexibility.   Come join us at 11 AM on Monday and Thursday of each week in the clubhouse.    On water exercise days when the pool water is too cool for you, the pool is not in operation, or you have schedule changes - join us to keep yourselves exercising regularly.       ---Gigi

MUSIC APPRECIATION:   Last Monday evening a large group of us enjoyed Ketch's delightful program of wonderful music.   And, of course, we enjoyed the intermission (eating), too.   Hold the date for the next Music Appreciation evening - Monday, December 4.   And, again we thank the Morrells for opening their home.

NEW OWNERS:   Wy and Jan Rood, present residents, have purchased 153 Duchess Ave. and will move there in the near future.   This means Dottie and Howard Woodward will return to their home at 212 Princess Ave.   The Woodwards will return north for a time due to health problems.    Woody, you will be in our thoughts and prayers with our wishes for a speedy recovery and return to KGC.   We wish for all of you many happy years at the Club!

CARDS:   This coming week our Monday evening contract bridge group will again begin.   Also on Thursday evening duplicate bridge is available.   In either one, we have two women, two men, or man and lady as partners.   In this past year, we have lost a number of players and desperately need additional new people to take their places.   For our many new residents, we also offer Cribbage, Euchre and Pinochle (as well as Ladies' Bridge on Wed. Afternoons).   All of our card groups are for a couple of hours of fun each week and meeting and enjoying other residents, so please sign up TODAY IN THE BACK OF THE HALL.    We need YOU and welcome YOU!    Any questions, call Carol Veverka at 484-9325

KGC TRAVEL:
- Document Party for "Volendam" cruise passengers is today, Saturday, November 11th at 2:00 pm in the clubhouse.   The Cruise will depart on November 22nd.    All are welcome who would like some refreshments and talk about travel with Sue and Allan Knops of VIP Travel.
- Bus for "Camelot" at Broadway Palm Dinner Theater in Ft. Myers will leave KGC at 10:30 am, Sunday, Nov. 12th.
- The KGC Ladies have returned from their trip to Key West and we hope all went well.
- We still have 13 vacancies on the one-hour, Venice area, "Christmas Light Tour, Dec.12th - $10.

THOUGHTS:    Now that I've been back for a couple of weeks, it almost seems as if we weren't away.   But it's just great to see familiar faces, and to meet and get to know our new residents.
