HEALTHLINE: Bob Miller, 86 King Arthur Dr., is now home and progressing rapidly after having two knee surgeries and spending a month in the hospital. Bill Barth is doing well after back surgery. Ellie Lambiotte read thank you cards at last Saturday's meeting from the family of Carol Veverka and from Terry Love for the KGC memorial donations and all the expressions of sympathy they received from King's Gate residents. Thanks to all of you who sent me prayers, cards, and delicious treats after my hip surgery. --- Blanche Madden
FAMILY NEWS: Our sincere sympathy to Richard Clark, 316 Castle Dr., and his family on the recent death of his mother in South Carolina.
FORMER RESIDENT NEWS: Ella Heath, long-time resident of 280 Avenue of Queens, passed away Friday, Nov. 14. Her son and Jane Haggerty were with her. A memorial service was held in the Chapel of Venice-Nokomis Methodist Church on November 20th. Ella had been living at Brighton Gardens.

THANKS: Howard Darbee sends his thanks to everyone for their thoughtfulness, cards, and best wishes. He has thoroughly enjoyed reading the cards he has received from friends in King's Gate Club. Doris said he is doing really well, and they hope he will soon be able to walk. He's still in a wheel chair and uses a walker, but he's improving and is in good spirits. NEW YORK - NEW JERSEY LUNCHEON will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2003, at 12:30 PM at Millie's at 3900 Clark Road, Sarasota. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board. OPEN HOUSE: King's Gate Realty will have an "Open House" at 283 Ave of Queens next week, Mon., Tues., and Wed. (11/24-26/03) from 2 PM to 4 PM (please remove your shoes before entering). As discussed at last week's meeting, it is in our best interest for residents to attend Open Houses so they can tell friends and relatives about units for sale in King's Gate Club. The Newsletter will print one Open House notice per home for sale by owner or by a realty company. No prices will be printed.
KGC TRAVEL has scheduled Sunday matinee shows at the "Broadway Palm Dinner Theater " in Ft. Myers. Bus round trip, buffet luncheon, show, taxes and tips - $52 each. Please book before deadline.
