KGC 101 INFORMATION MEETING: A series of about seven weekly sessions is expected to start about January 12 for the information of anyone who is interested in being better informed as to how our Club is operated. Hoped to be covered are such documents as King's Gate Club Articles, Bylaws, Rules, Policies, Round Table Guidelines, and those Florida Statutes that control KGC operations. Also such subjects as County regulations, budgeting and financial aspects; physical assets and how they are operated; legal matters; duties and responsibilities of the Club Managers, officers, committee chairpersons and members; our staff; Club records; the function and operation of the Round Table; annual timetables which must be met; Roberts Rules of Order; and any other matters which are involved in running the Club and making decisions on the Board, on the Round Table, or as a Member. Especially invited is anyone who has ever considered being, is, or may be, a candidate for the Board or Round Table Committee, either this year, in the past, or in the future. However, any member is welcome to attend one or all of the sessions. Also, it will definitely be co-ed. Please indicate your interest by signing the "Interested" sheet. We will try to have a short meeting on Saturday, January 8, to confirm the day, time, and place for these sessions.
Also needed are members who are fairly well versed in any of these topics, who might be available to conduct a session, be part of a panel, or speak up with answers during these sessions. If this is you, please also sign, naming the subject you might be available for. Thanks, Dick Phillips, 209 Squire, Chairperson for KGC 101 (fourth year)
TREE TRIMMING WEEK OF 1/17/05: Please sign up on the sheet in the Office. Most palms are $15 - $25 and up. If you have trees to be cut down or trimmed, they can give you a quote. If you have any questions, contact Rich Davis, 412-1951.

- Future projects are beaded nametags, decoupage, and Swedish weaving placemats and table runners. Look for objects such as glass plates, wooden trays, wood slabs, etc. to decoupage. We are also looking for picture frames to decorate with puzzle pieces.
- If anyone needs yarn, batting for quilts, beads, scraps of cloth, or any other material, come and look, at our stash in the Ceramics Room.
- Left your sewing machine at home and need one? We have one available for you. Contact Linda Varty or Barb Tompkins.
- We welcome new ideas and instructors. Please volunteer with whatever craft you can teach us.
CLOTHE-A-CHILD: The Clothe-A-Child Report was given last Saturday. Donations of $1,014 were given by the Club and its members. The Patricca family donated an additional $500 to this cause in memory of Tom's mother, who recently passed away and who loved children. Six children were supplied with new clothes and school supplies before school started this Fall. Thanks to all of you, and to the Patriccas. Betty McDonald chaired this committee, assisted by Marion Gladkowski and Cheryl Patricca. Betty is now retiring as Chair. Cheryl will take over as the new Chair. The three of you have certainly done a great job in helping these kids!
ORCHIDS: We sincerely thank John Schleicher who brings our newspaper up to our door. He even does this on cold days! It certainly is nice for us to open our doors and have our papers right there. THANKS SO MUCH!

NEW DAWN SINGERS: The hall was filled last Wednesday evening to hear - and see - these wonderful singers and dancers. It was an absolutely super program - and understand they will be with us next year. Those who attended this year will be back - and if you weren't there on Wednesday, make plans to attend next year. It certainly puts one in the Christmas spirit. A big thank you to our Entertainment Committee!
RENTERS: Bob Evans and Nora Johnson will be at 318 Castle Drive for three months. They are from Swartz Creek, MI. Welcome - enjoy your stay at KGC. (Bob, as you know, is a former owner).

THOUGHTS: Well, another year is almost over - and it certainly did fly by. They say that happens as one gets older, but I prefer to think all the activities at the Club are the reason. To each one of you, my wish is for a Merry Christmas, and for a Happy - and healthy - New Year! --- SJB
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Imagine:
You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside.
Then you lock all your doors, start the engine and shift into REVERSE.
You look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your parking space
and you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.
So, you shift into PARK, unlock your doors and jump out of your car to
remove the paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.
When you reach the back of your car, that is when the car-jackers appear
out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off.
Your engine was running, you would have your purse in the car and they
practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.
BE AWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.
Just drive away and remove the paper that is stuck to your window LATER,
and be thankful that you read this e-mail. I hope you will forward this to
friends and family especially to women!
A purse contains all identification, and you certainly do NOT want someone
getting your home address. They already HAVE your keys!!!!!
Submitted by Alan Holdway (96 King Arthur Dr.) via e-mail - from local authorities.
