Vol. XXII, No. 9 King's Gate Club - a 55+ community, Nokomis, Florida February 28, 2009

CLOTHE-A-CHILD COLLECTION:   Baskets will be passed at the meeting this morning for this important work.   As most of you already know, these donations are used, in August, to clothe students in need of help.   Names are received from the school, and seven to ten students receive clothes and school supplies.   If a child doesn't have good clothes and the necessary supplies for school, it is damaging to his or her self-esteem.   Cheryl Patricca and her committee take the kids shopping, and they feel it is a most rewarding project.   So, in the usual Club way, hope you will give generously to this collection!   There are probably even more kids in need of help this year, than usual.       ---SJB

VALENTINE DECORATIONS are missing from the Clubhouse.   If you know the whereabouts of the missing decorations, please contact Virgina Kureja at 485-4457.   In the future, if any of the monthly decorations come off the Clubhouse walls, please let the Kureja's know.   These are purchased with Round Table (your) funds, and may be used again.

(And A BIG THANK YOU to Jan and Chuck Collins who chaired this event - we all appreciate your work)

THOUGHTS:   We are so fortunate to have only a two dollar a month increase proposed for our maintenance fee this next year.   We have so much to enjoy here at the Club and anyone who visits comments on all the amenities.       - SJB
