NOTES FROM CHARLES CLOTFELTER, OUR MANAGER: Charles attended the Round Table meeting last Saturday. He asks that each resident stop in the office before they leave for the summer and "check out." That way any mail to be sent from the office will be sent to the correct address.....Also, prepare the outside of your home for the summer before you leave. Do not leave any objects outside which could be a danger in a storm.....Make provisions for the care of your landscaping during the summer, and advise the office who will be doing this work for you.
PRESIDENT'S CUP GOLF TOURNAMENT AND BANQUET: The weather cooperated last Sunday afternoon (after a very rainy morning) and, while it was very windy, a good-sized group of golfers enjoyed a pleasant afternoon golfing at Calusa Lakes. This was followed by a delicious catered dinner at KGC clubhouse. Tom Patricca, President of our Board of Directors, gave a humorous talk on cups and then presented the President's Cup. Names to be engraved are Jim Breitwieser, John Marray, Jim Alex, Bob Cook, Bob Mathieu, Alex Ferris, John Zanardo, Sue Simmons, Pat Smith, Jim Hyde, Arlene Herbert, Janice Cook, Lorraine Quirion, Jean Thurston, Sandy Garver and Fred Bethke. Each person winning received a "golf trophy." Hitting closest to the pin on the course were Joan Smatko and Nancy Breitwieser. A number of non-golfing spouses also attended the dinner. This was the Third Annual Tournament and A BIG THANKS is given to Vic Griseto and Jim Breitwieser, who planned this event.
A RESIDENT REMINISCES: Biographies of KGC residents will continue in the Fall.
THOUGHTS: It never ceases to amaze me how many willing hands there are at the Club. There have been so many fun activities at KGC this past season. And always when a Chairperson is needed, someone volunteers for the job. I always tell outsiders that if a club resident needed help, they could knock at any door in the Club and there would be someone there to help them. What a wonderful feeling! Life at KGC is good!!! ---SJB
