FOOD PANTRY:   Reminder to bring your food items or cash donation for the Food Pantry next Saturday morning September 1st.

LABOR DAY POTLUCK:   On Monday, September 3rd we will have our Labor Day Potluck Dinner.   The Happy Hour will be at 5:00 PM followed by dinner at 5:30 PM.   Please bring a covered dish to serve at least 10 people.   Sign-up on list in Hall and come and enjoy Labor Day with your KGC friends.   If you have any questions call Mary Jane Christopherson - 486-1739.

CLUB HOUSE CLOSURE:   The Hall and Kitchen will be closed from Monday, August 27th through Friday, August 31st in order to strip and wax the floors.   The Hall will be available for use on Saturday, September 1, 2007.       ---Charles, KGC Manager

SPA AND POOL:   Recently there have been large amounts of sand, shell and other debris in the spa and pool.   This probably comes from a trip to the beach and is carried to our pool and spa in bathing suits, toys, etc.   Please take a shower before entering these areas and clean all items of clothing and toys of anything that has been at the beach or other water spots.   Foreign materials can seriously damage our wonderful facilities.   Thank you for your cooperation.       ---Charles, KGC Manager

HEALTHLINE:   Jack Scott, 178 Princess Ave. had major surgery this past week, and is recovering in the intensive care unit at the Venice Regional Medical Center.   Your prayers will be most welcome.   Any cards should be delivered to his home address.
Jim Hyde, 40 King Arthur Dr. had quintuple heart by-pass and valve repair surgery on August 17th.   He is now recovering in the hospital in New York.   Your prayers are welcome, and any cards should be mailed to his northern address.       ---Jane Haggerty, Summer Time Health Line

THANK YOU all for your prayers, cards, food and visits for both of us at this time of need.   It is truly appreciated.   We are blessed to live in a community of caring.       ---Angie and Ike Richards

THANK YOU:   KG Friends:  Marcia and I cannot thank all of you enough for the many cards and prayers sent to me after my recent car accident.   I feel I am about 90% healed.   We are now continuing with our original plan.   As of August 18 we are at Ledge View RV Park in Lake George NY.   Hope to see all of you again in the fall.       Thanks again, Dick Nolin

SYMPATHY:   Our sympathy and prayers are offered to Betty and George Agricola and their family on the suicide death of their son, Matt.   He was 35 years old, married for 13 years and had 2 children, and was very despondent over a pending divorce.   Betty and George were very shocked and saddened.   Please pray for them in their time of need, and any cards or memorials may be sent to their northern address.

SYMPATHY:   Our sympathy and prayers to Gene and Judy Riggs, renters for the past several years on the lost of their 15 year old grandson.   He was killed Monday night August 13th, 2007 in a terrible car accident.   His dad was driving and taking him to the County Fair and a truck hit them in the passenger side of the car and then spun it into an electric pole again hitting on the passenger side where Devin was sitting.   He died instantly but Kenny has only minor injuries.   There's nothing left of the car and it's a wonder that Kenny wasn't killed also.   Their northern address is:   39386 St. Rt.7, Reedsville Ohio 45772.

VIDEO ROOM:   Donated from KG club member a Children's DVD "Walt Disney Treasure Island".   Two new DVD'S "Wild Hogs" with John Travolta and "Fracture" with Anthony Hopkins.   I also purchased another NEW DVD "Queen".   We waited three weeks to see if anyone would return the first one.   Quite a few people ask to see it and since it was a good movie I purchased another one.   As I said before, whoever took it, took not only the DVD but the case and the card.   Hope whoever took it enjoys it!!      ---Jean Ickes
