CHRISTMAS DINNER AT CLUBHOUSE: Thanks to Angie Richards and Dee Hicks who co-chaired this delicious dinner, which was attended by about 100 people. People who helped with the dinner included Patty & George Ray, Fred Lewis, Arlene & Lou Herbert, John & Virginia Kureja, Sue & Tom Logan, Nip Barker, Dot & Art Grams, Alan & Rosemary Holdway, Neil Crane, Betty Mohr, Lucille Anderson, Judy Spears, Edna Zappala, Roseann Stratton, Betty Kundrot, Frank, Fred & Matt Fleck, Bob Adams, Ron Carpenter, Doris Dupler, and Irene Bette. In addition, many assisted on the clean-up crew. After dinner, Irene Bette led a Sing-A-Long. All reports are that it was a delicious dinner and a lovely afternoon. THANKS to ALL who helped.
THOUGHTS: As I sit down to write my final "Thoughts" for 2007, a number of things come to mind. It has been a good year for the Club, with business, programs and activities going along very well. However, a number of our residents passed away this year and they will be missed. So far, all of their spouses have remained here and we are happy for that. I hear over and over what a concerned, caring community we are and I know we are available to help anyone when needed. We have a number of Club members who have been ill and still need our prayers. To each and every one of you, my wish is for a Happy New Year, which includes good health and peace. King's Gate Club is a wonderful place to live! ---SJB
