  The Annual Silver Foxes Follies, a hilarious variety show that plays to crowded houses each year. The Silver Foxes is the senior outreach troupe of Venice Theatre. The popular group performs road shows around the area bringing skits, songs and dance numbers to community centers, church groups and clubs throughout Sarasota County. Once a year they produce a full-length variety show for the MainStage – The Follies - which helps raise money for the theatre and its outreach programs. Joe Simmons, veteran actor and director, is the Artistic Director of the Silver Foxes. “The Follies’ combination of singing, dancing and fast-paced comedy is a sure winner,” Simmons says. Jason Brenner, a frequent musical director and performer at Venice Theatre, is musical director of the Foxes.

  60 YEARS OF EXCELLANCE. For more than 60 years, Sailor Circus has thrilled audiences around the globe with outstanding feats performed by students from Sarasota, Florida. More remarkable than their abilities is the fact that they are all children. As performers in America?s oldest youth circus, these children are recognized as major contributors to the circus legacy in Sarasota. PAL Sailor Circus is a non-profit organization with the goal of helping our youth develop life management skills, self-discipline and gain confidence while learning through the circus arts.
